Block 1-Documentaries (9:15AM-10:49AM)

Filipina Sisters: Three Filipina emigres experience culture shock and personal loss as they attempt to build new lives for themselves in America.


Love Back To Country: An Australian musician seeking relief from debilitating chronic pain embarks on a globetrotting odyssey and reconnects with his ancestral roots.

Boomerang Atomic: A look at the history of France's nuclear weapons program and its devastating effects on the people of Algeria.

Talk Straight, Duda: A gay filmmaker seeks advice from the queer community on how to approach his father about their painful past.


The Other Roe: This short documentary uncovers the hidden companion case to Roe v. Wade--Doe v. Bolton--and the remarkable story of the attorney from Atlanta who argued the case before the Supreme Court in 1973. 


Sons: This documentary short captures the resilience of a Ukrainian family striving for normalcy amidst the chaos of war while an American family journeys to Ukraine to recover the remains of their son, a former Marine who was killed in action while volunteering with the Ukrainian Armed Forces. 

Block 2-Intensity (11:00AM-12:57PM)

Charlotte Star And The Hunt For The Obsidian Egg: A former special agent and her partner get violently coerced back into a world of ancient secrets. 


Garden Valley:  Based on the 1988 Mann family murders in San Antonio, Texas, this gritty drama focuses on the actions of reckless youth that lead to a tragic crime.


Propaganda Of The Deed: An alternate theory about the destruction of the Big Tex statue at the Texas State Fair and the role anarchist protest artists may have played.


Inertia: A young man haunted by his troubled past tries to break the cycle of generational childhood trauma.

Block 3-Just For Laughs (1:10PM-2:10PM)

The Laugh Gap: This student documentary short follows budding standup comedian Keely Shaller as they research cultural narratives that have long sidelined female and queer voices in comedy.


I Think I Should Go: When his soon-to-be ex-wife steals his beloved dog, a man enlists the help of his eccentric friend to help him steal the dog back.


A Very Crowded Room: A long run-on sentence phone call, delivered at a dizzying pace.

Sexless In The City: Dumped by her long time boyfriend, a woman seeks solace in her circle of friends, only to find herself on the defense from their passive aggressiveness.

1-800-GET-SEXY: In 1986, a call center rep for a frozen dinner food company gets inspired to try a new job as a phone sex worker.


Block 4: Music (2:20PM-4:07PM)

Fifteen Minutes Of Fame: After landing their biggest gig ever, a phony lead singer and his burnt-out band mates must perfect their craft before the big show, or crumble under pressure. 


Strolling Down Brighton Pier: A photographer falls in love with a woman as she takes her daily stroll down Brighton Pier. Mustering the courage to approach her, he is devastated to discover that there's someone else in the picture. 


I Took The Road Less Traveled: The amazing rock and roll journey of Spanish artist, Diego "Bull" Avello, and his perseverance in chasing the American Dream. 


Block 5: Narrative Voices (4:20PM-6:01PM)

Insensible Losses: A doctor puts aside concerns about her own pregnancy as she works to care for a miscarrying patient. 


Beyond The Clouds: In a not-so-distant future where the environment has been compromised and space research and exploration have been abandoned, two people nevertheless strive to learn more about what exists above the atmosphere.


I'd Give The Whole World To Be Back Where I Used To Be: A black-and-white musical portrait of Houston, Texas.


David's Story: A Nigerian grad student struggles to survive in America, weighed down by poverty and a sick family member, and must decide whether a possible solution to his troubles outweighs the risks.


The Oldest:  12-year-old Kate longs to escape her lonely reality as the oldest of 5 under the shadow of her father's addiction in this coming-of-age story set in late 80s rural Iowa. 


Wet Soil: In the final years of World War II, a young soldier’s fate hangs in the balance after a battlefield incident. As a grieving mother sets out to confront him, their meeting exposes the raw and complicated truths left behind by war.


Profile: A lonely young man matches with a stranger on a dating app, and envisions their relationship together. 


Love, from Ellie: A girl visits her veteran dad’s memorial on his birthday, dragging along her unhoused uncle as her chaperone. But when unforeseen circumstances get in the way, she’s forced to confront the messy truths of grief, family, and the meaning of goodbyes.


The Ballad of the Bush Mare: A young Afghan and her mother are abducted and forced into a false labor indenture, then later separated.  Almost twenty years later, the girl, now grown, embarks on a journey to find her mother.

Block 6: Thrills And Chills (6:15PM-8:37PM)

Wake Up, Dolores!: A self-aware A.I. synthetic begins to question her reality when her nightmares reveal real-time murders that blur the line between dreams and reality, unraveling a dark truth hidden within the walls of her home.


Rugged: A home inspector has an unfortunate supernatural encounter.

Blindsided: A blind schoolteacher struggles to survive through a nightmarish night when an alien spaceship crashes and unleashes a monstrous predator.

Marrow: A vodcast host declining in popularity receives the career opportunity of a lifetime when a mysterious stranger invites her into its dangerous world.

Festival Awards, 9:00 pm

Free for all to attend! We will be celebrating your success in a lighthearted and celebratory awards ceremony with trophies, certificates and applause! The Purple Carpet will be out before and after, so please join us for  a moment to shine!

After Party

Late night eats and drinks await at The Golden Horn, 5420 Airport Boulevard, immediately after the awards ceremony.
