    Austin International Film Festival

    Block 1 - Lone Star Narratives, Part 1, 9:00 am to 10:49 am

    Consequence - People seeking help from a psychic discover that they must deal with the consequences of their actions.


    After Hours - During her nightly cleaning routine, an elderly janitor finds herself hunted by a dangerous creature and must make a difficult choice between her own survival and that of a frightened young girl.


    Bella - A buyer checking out a prospective property finds himself being wined and dined by a mysterious woman who seems intent on closing the deal.


    The Bean - A group of friends drop acid and experience funny, frightening, life-changing epiphanies.


    City Of Hate: Dallas And The Assassination, 60 Years Later - Told by people who lived there, this documentary examines the heated socio-political climate of the Dallas area that led to the assassination of JFK.

    Block 2 - Foreign and Domestic , 11:00 am to 12:58 pm

    Darcine's Day - A divorced, jobless woman must  navigate a nightmare of bureaucracy and hard knocks as she tries to stay on her feet.


    When Skies Are Gray - After her elderly mother has been reported missing, a woman returns to her childhood home and finds her mother in a deteriorating mental state, clinging to cultish beliefs.


    Lequando - On a first date, a woman and man find themselves drawn to each other, but their chemistry gets thwarted by a dating app that expresses doubts about their compatibility.


    Here's Your Coffee, Mr. Mintz - A meek wife tries to summon the courage to confront her husband about an affair.


    The Interrogation Of Hugo Schreiber - A paranormal investigator squares off against his vampiric captive, seeking answers and ultimately, vengeance, only to underestimate the power of his prisoner.


    The Twilight Cafe - A suicidal man befriends a café owner who offers him a new perspective on life.


    Ghost Bike - Haunted--literally--by a ghost from her past, a young woman must dig through her warped memory to uncover the secret of her prior misdeed.


    Prisms of Self -  This abstract film blends soundscapes and symbolism to depict a complex journey of restoring balance among our inner selves to achieve wholeness.


    Under The Bridge - After repeatedly rebuffing a homeless person, a jogger finds himself caught in a time loop, facing increasingly dire odds of ever getting out. 


    Quiet!  Mom's Working! - A tough guy gets more than he bargained for when he finds himself trapped in the torture chamber of a demented housewife.

    Block 3 - Documentaries Part 1, 1:10 pm to 3:00 pm

    still drawing - An Indian-American retiree rediscovers his passion for drawing as he navigates the transition into retirement.


    i was 8814 - This documentary focuses on German Jew Hanna Zack Miley, who narrowly escaped the Holocaust as a child, and her lifelong journey from hatred and bitterness  to healing and reconciliation.


    Block 4 - Lone Star Narratives Part 2, 3:10 pm to 4:44 pm

    Exile Echoes - Four generations of Iranian women reveal their shared memories and resilience in the face of an oppressive regime's relentless campaign against women's freedom and rights.


    A Quiet Sales Call - A sales rep tries to land clients, only to find himself repeatedly thwarted by his noisy, obnoxious coworkers.


    Where We Went Wrong - A washed-up, drug addicted guitarist tries to straighten out his life after meeting the daughter he never knew he had.


    Debate Club - A debate club must decide whether to strip their vice president of his power after he stages a disastrous celebration party on the eve of their semi-final competition.


    Takin' It To The Streets - After losing his position due to inappropriate behavior, a former children's TV show host tries to upstage his replacement and get his job back.


    Reditus - After his wife leaves him, a decorated combat veteran continues to struggle with PTSD and seeks solace from his haunting memories of war.

    Block 5 - Documentaries Part 2, 5:00 pm to 6:44 pm

    Bloody & Bruised: The Untold Story Of The Back Room - This documentary chronicles the 33 year history of Austin's most infamous heavy metal club.

    Block 6 - Pilot Season, 7:00 pm to 8:10 pm

    Don't Look Now - A diverse group of teachers and staff at a training center for the visually impaired must navigate the daily challenges of working for an underfunded non-profit.


    Love-All - Three pro tennis players--one staging his comeback, one trying to keep his vices from sabotaging his success, and one at the top of her game but feeling the heat--find their lives intersecting in complex, unsettling ways.

    Block 7 - Renewed Hope, 8:20pm to 10:42 pm

    Sam - An autistic teen struggles to let go of his imaginary friends and connect to his real-life peers.


    Life Support - As he races against time to save a life, a burnt-out ER doctor must confront his own traumas and rediscover his compassion.


    The Kiss - During World War I, a Danish cavalry officer in training courts a wheelchair-bound heiress, but struggles to determine whether his feelings for her are borne out of pity, or true love.

    Festival Awards, 11:00 pm

    We will be celebrating your success in a lightning quick awards ceremony with trophies, certificates and applause! The Red Carpet will be out before and after, so please join us for  a moment to shine!

    Late night eats and drinks await at The Golden Horn, 5420 Airport Boulevard, immediately after the awards ceremony.
